Versace introduces in 2012 the fragrance Versace Eros, which is inspired by and deeply connected to Greek mythology. The aim of this special edition is to reveal and unleash unlimited love, passion, and highlight desire. The perfume is named after the Greek god of love, son of Aphrodite - Eros. Inspiration from ancient Greece has been present since Gianni Versace elevated the fashion empire and used the Greek figure Medusa as a symbol of the brand, which today adorns a range of products from the fashion house, as well as the perfume Versace Eros.
The perfume is the first in the last five years that is specifically designed for men. Donatella Versace's goal was to ensure the fragrance aligns with the concept of the Versace brand, capturing essence and design, quality, and popularity. "Eros is truly the DNA of the Versace house," explained Donatella. "It uses Greek motifs that inspire us and make us think of ancient Greece, antiquities, and mythology, while the turquoise color represents the Mediterranean. That is Versace!"
The fragrance was created by perfumer Aurelien Guichard from Givaudan. The scent is fresh, woody, and slightly oriental. The face of the perfume is Brian Shimansky. "I designed the fragrance for a man who is heroic and passionate, just like the Greek god. Eros is a fragrance that captures and emphasizes strength and sensuality." Donatella Versace.
A unique aura, a sensual feel on the skin, convincingly masculine: this is the key to the anthem of love performed by Eros, a radiant and striking seducer.
